Wreck at Bunnahabhain

Anyone who has been to the distillery at Bunnahabhain will immediately recognise this trawler - the Wyre Majestic - which went aground in the early 1970’s.. She was on her way, in company with her sister ship, to unload her catch at Campbeltown when she struck the promontory just south of the distillery. Attempts were made by her sister ship and by a tug to tow her off - but she is there yet.
