Sailing Alone

This image sets me daydreaming about sailing over a tranquil ocean with nothing to do but read books and watch sunsets. It reminds me of people like Joshua Slocum - the first person to sail single-handed around the world; and Bernard Moitessier - an entrant in the 1968 single-handed round the world race who, with every chance of winning, found he was having such a lovely time that he turned his bow away from the finish line and went around again.
