Justin Ruthven-Tyers

Having spent 7 years living on board our gaff-rigged sailing vessel Caol Ila - a period of time that has both inspired and informed my art - we now live on the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay... a few minutes away from the Caol Ila distillery where this photograph was taken - and after which our boat was named.

In the background you can see the ‘Paps of Jura’ The Sunday Times lists ‘sunrise over the paps of Jura’ as one of the ‘100 things to see before you die’.

All of the images you have seen are available for sale as original artwork (unless already sold) - or as signed limited-edition prints. Limited Edition Prints are of the highest standard using museum archival quality papers and inks (with an expected life of more than 400 years). The images shown here are in no way representative of the quality and detail of the originals - so that they will upload quickly on the internet, the file sizes have been reduced to less than 1% of the originals. If you would like to examine an image in more detail, let me know and I shall send you a larger file size by email - or the actual drawing on a try-before-you-buy basis.

Print runs are limited to either 25 or 75. These can be ordered framed, mounted, or on paper...and can be sent anywhere in the world.

The size of framed artwork is typically 60cm x 48 cm (24” x 18”). Some flexibility is available - frame, mount, and image sizes can be altered a little. If you have a particular location in mind for a framed image, let us know its’ dimensions.

Prices for original work are typically between £400 and £800; and for limited edition prints around £80.
