Coming Home is taken from an original by Walter Langley who live in Cornwall from the late 1800’s and recorded much of what he saw. The type of winch on which the girl is leaning was used for hauling inshore fishing boats up above the high water mark and could be seen still in use around the coast until at least the 1970’s.
